# Delete Ingredient Category

> Remove an ingredient category that is no longer required.

This guide explains how to delete a category.

## Delete Category

1. Navigate to **Inventory** menu in sidebar

2. Click **Manage Categories** on the top or click **+ Add Category**

3. Click **Delete Icon** for category you want to delete

4. Confirm the action

* Deleting a category may set affected linked ingredients to Uncateogrized
